The Stone Fan in Japan

The Fan captures a natural faded coloring straight from the camera. The lower portion is a shadow which adds a nice colored texture to the photo I thought.

Glimpse Underneath

A Glimpse Underneath captures a different perspective of a lantern in Japan. I often shoot lanterns because they are so fascinating, but I all too often get bored with them as well. So I like to try and photograph lanterns in different ways as much as possible. This was actually a difficult shot to do with regards to framing and keeping my camera still. The location was a bit tricky but I thought it turned out as planned.

Grand Central Nagano Japan

A typical scene on the streets of Zenkoji, Temple leading away from the temple. There are lots of fantastic udon and soba shops. Plus there is my most favorite Soba Ice Cream place where I am a frequent customer along with my kids. Three cups of Soba Soft Cream Please!!! Oh Yeah!

Dango san kyodai on a Vine

This reminded me of that popular Dango San Kyodai Song in Japan. Here they are on a vine enjoying the summer sunshine! Of course these are not Dango, but whenever you have three round objects, the Japanese will often relate them to Dango San! It’s fun.

Photos were taken with a Keitai or Cell Phone by a Hair Stylist from our Salon. The quality is low and the shots were difficult to get, but you at least get an idea of what the show was like.

We are collecting information for an upcoming Photoshoot and Workshop we’ll be conducting over the summer with regards to the Ageha Hairstyle for both fashion and weddings.

I’m a big fan of the Gal Style in Japan for those who don’t already know. I run a J-Gal community website at www.ricoche.net which is very popular among gals all around the world.
